This week on Sound Investing…

Just how bad was it?

We look back at a tough six months for stock investors.  It’s been an unpleasant start to the year with most major indexes dropping by double-digits...and the pain hasn’t been limited to the U.S.: most foreign markets have taken a beating, too.  We are joined by Dennis Tilley, Merriman’s Director of Alternative Investments, to provide some perspective to the correction.

Four years of home gains lost in a year?  If you thought stocks were bad, consider that real estate in many U.S. markets has fallen through the floor.  What can you do about it?  Not much, but we’ll provide a few ideas.

Is it a myth or reality?  Investment advisors recommendations always make sense!  Learn how advisors always sound smart in the moment but when you look back 10 years they might not look so smart!

Plus, Paul’s outrage:  A well-known Guru tries to cover her tracks.

Have a great week!
